Robert
Edward Forest, 57, of Lake Charles died at 11 p.m. Thursday, May 6,
2010, in his residence.
Mr. Forest was born in Orange, Texas, and has lived most of his life in
Lake Charles. He was a 1970 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and
also attended McNeese State University. Mr. Forest retired after 30
years with Conoco as a warehouse superintendent. He was Catholic. In his
spare time, Robert loved music and collected many guitars, including one
specially ordered from James A. Olson. He loved writing music and
sharing it with his friends. Mr. Forest was also an all-around athlete
and a past member of the Lake Area Runners Association. He loved running
and surfing, as well.
He is survived by one son, Scott Jameson Forest; one daughter, Amy
Elizabeth Forest; the mother of his children, Andrea Forest, all of Lake
Charles; three brothers, Mike Forest and Jerry Forest, both of Lake
Charles, and Richard Forest of Houston; and two sisters, Janet Turner of
Westlake and Deborah Lemoine of Lake Charles.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the Johnson
Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will
follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Monday, with a
Scripture service at 6 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Tuesday. Words of comfort

Robert was a good friend all the way through junior high and high
school. We shared a lot of good times in school and afterward at
McNeese. To Mike and the rest of the family, I offer my
condolences, thoughts, and most importantly, prayers to comfort

Scott, Amy, Mike, Janet, Richard, Debbie & Jerry; There are no
words to describe how I feel about the loss of your brother,
Robert. He was a very SPECIAL person. All of your family has
ALWAYS made me feel like a part of it. I feel as though I've
lost a brother also. My heart is so heavy right now with pain
