Graduated form McNeese State University in 1975 wit BS in Nursing.  moved to Houston, TX, after graduation and worked at the Methodist Hospital as a staff nurse on renal and cardiology units.  In 1979, I became Head Nurse of the Intermediate Cardiology Unit at Methodist.

I was married October 4, 1980, to Ed Parker.  We had our first child in 1983 and shortly after I retired from nursing to be a full-time homemaker.  We now have three children: Erin - 6 years old, Elissa - 3 years old, and Emily - 6 months.  My husband is a district manager for an insurance company in Houston.
