| * From the Webmaster - I did not really know Art well, but a few words of recognition are in order from the things I have read. Mr. and Miss LaGrange are two of the highest honors students may receive at LaGrange Senior High. Senior students are chosen by the faculty on the basis of school achievements, personality, leadership, integrity, and scholarship. 1969-70 Mr. LaGrange was Arthur Burch with Sandy Schellack as Miss LaGrange. Arthur played football for three years at LaGrange. He was in Interact Club and served as President of National Honor Society during his senior year. He was also on the Executive Student Council. He won awards at the football banquets during both his junior and senior years for being the athlete with the highest scholastic average. Art was also nominated for Mr. Success but edged out to a worthy classmate, Bill McCall. Arthur worked hard in study as well as playing hard in sports. Art is in our memories and is a classmate I am proud of. |
